Punjab Examination Commission was formed in 2006 but the discussion for the need of a department which looks after the other boards in educational matters was started in 2005.
PEC holds the exams for 5th and 8th class and for the first time PEC arranges the exams for 5th class in the month of March 2006.
The responsibility of PEC includes pointing out the areas where training of teachers is required, designing a system of examination and after implementing the system evaluating that system so that it may need any revision.
It also has a responsibility to check out any improvement needed in syllabus or teaching methodology of teachers in the domain of elementary education of Punjab.
Every year thousands of students took part in the 5th class exams and Pec is responsible to conduct and organize the exams for 5th class.
Both private and public sector students appear in the exams and after attempting the exams students eagerly wait for the result of their exams.
The exams are conducted by the eight boards of Punjab and result is also announced by these boards. The exams are normally taken by the boards in the month of February while the date sheet is announced one month before the exams.
The result is announced by the boards in supervision of PEC and is normally announced in March.
We expect that the result for 5th class 2014 exams will be announced in March 2014. The 5th class result 2014 will be available on this page on the declaration date of result.
